I spent years being a people pleaser. Always focusing on making others happy inspite of my unhappiness. Not just people, but family also. If I found that my loved ones day was going bad, then my whole week would go bad. My happiness depended on others happiness. I was an enabler and I had become what they call a dry drunk once my husband became free from his addiction. I was still addicted to people pleasing. Come to one of our meetings.
